Mrs. Fannie Atkins, who was acci? dentally shot ten days ago by her brother. Lewis Martin, of Culpoper, died last night at the University Hos? pital, and the remains were sent to her home, tlvc miles from Orange for interment, if or husband, H. S. Atkins, and two children survive. The shooting occurred at Martin'? homo, in Culpepor, where Mrs. Atkins hnd gone on a visit with her son. aged twelve years. The boy, who was seat? ed In his mother's lan, asked his uncle how he. ppcrnted o repeating gun. .In Rome unexplained manner the weapon was discharged, the load entering Mrs. Atkins's abdomen and lodging in the Dip. A part of the load glanced down thf boy's loft arm and shattered his elbow. He is in a different ward in the. hospital, and has not been told of his mother's death.
