The report of the Health Department shows that during the month end ing February 26 there were fifty seven deaths in Petersburg; twenty < seven among the white and thirty among the colored population: a con? siderable decrease as compared with the corresponding month of last year Of the decedents eleven were under the age of live years: nine wore be? tween tin- ages of sixty and eighty years, and three had passed tho four score limit. Tuberculosis claimed eleven victims; pneumonia nine. Brlght's disease six; organic disease of the heart five, and there was ona death each by suicide, suffocation, drpwnlhg and gunshot wounds. As to sex, twenty-one were males and thirty six were females. The coroner certi? fied ten deaths during the month; eleven bodies were brought to the city for interment and three removed.
