Kolng elsewhere to make their pur chases when they can get whut they want right here In Richmond. And when wc go. It us war a smile, for a smile Is one of the most attractive In? fluences you can circulate In North Car? olina. "The Times-Dispatch has freed Itaeif of the care of this trip, though it orlg nated it and planned It, and the trip Is now under its auspices, but the re? sponsibility is on us. It Is up to you, gentlemen, to tell others of our city, and Richmond will rely on you to ad? vertise her as she wub never adver? tised before. And 1 hope this Boost? ers' tour will terminate In one of the greatest movements ever undertaken. Why? Because we do lack a little of that pulling together which fs so es? sential and of that far-slghtodniia which is so necessary for the upbuild? ing and development of such o commu? nity osv wc live in. And I believe the influence of this trip will irradiato among others. People will be Imbued with the Idea that It Is safe policy to bring money to Richmond, and if somo one brings $5,000,000 to Richmond, you can say: 'If it comes to Richmond. I've got my chance to get my share." The groceryman, the merchant, the busi? ness man, the machinist, all have a chance to get a piece of it. The bank? ers can take care of themselves." The crowd laughed, but Mr. Dabney hast? ened to say: "Richmond is second to non in banking enterprise, for here any loan can be financed. Make Much Noise. "So I say again, let us all pull to? gether. We are going to North Caro? lina as nothing ever went before. I ain't much up on history and I don't know whether the Yankees ever went down there and raised a big noise, but we v. ill go there and raise a big noise and show the people that we have the best city on earth. But It will be an Intelligent noise that we will make, and we will leave behind something for the people to remember. We will show them our individual prosperity, and what is better than Individual pros? perity, in which all the community par? ticipates?" Mr'. Dabney Informed his hearers of the great development which had ac? crued to the city through the big plants which have made their homes I here, bringing thousands of workmen in their train. "There are some," he said, "who do not see how the erection of a big man' acturlng plant In their community can help them or Increase the value of proptry around them. But . I can tell you that If I plant tlowers in my garden?and I ain't much on gardening, I leave my wife to do that ?their fragrance Is shed through all the neighborhood. And I cun tell you that the coming of these b'g busi? nesses has Increase the purchasing power in Richmond by actual tlgures ' $1,000 per annum. So let us go out and tell the truth about our city. You will Influence each other and me, and maybe even the tightwad will be In? fluenced and be mnde to realize the fact that here is safe Investment for his money. Let us get returns by get? ting together as a band of Intelligent young men who will tell the world of our cfty." Every Arrnugement Made. "The Uneeda Biscuit in that last package were not as good as usual." You have never said it yourself. It is one thing to make soda crackers that are occasionally good. It is quite another thing to make them so that they are not only always better than all other soda crackers, but always of unvarying good? ness. The name "Uneeda" ?stamped on every one of them?means that if a million packages of Uneeda Biscuit were placed before you, you could choose any one of them, con? fident that every soda cracker in that package would be as good as the best Uneeda Biscuit ever baked. 5c a package?never sold in bulk.
