Wolfs, ! presiding elder of tho Roanoko Dis? trict of the Baltimore Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, has uppolnted a committco of three ministers to make an Inquiry Into the rumors which have been circulated hero regarding tho resignation of Mr. Joyce. The Rov. David Bush, of Buona Vista; the Rev. John B. Honry. of Vln ton, and the Rov. M. 3. Mitchell were appointed on the committee. Tho com? mittee met hero yesterday and con? cluded Its Inquiry at noon to-day. Tho members met to formulate their report, which will recommend to the presiding elder that a church trial bo held to consider Mr. Joyce's case. This means that Bishop Denny will appoint a com? mittee of ministers to hear the case and decide on the question of Mr. Joyce's culpability.
