And be it further enacted. That a printed copy cf every book, pamphlet, map, chart, musical composition, print, engraving, or photograph, lor which v copyright shall be secni eil under said acts, shall bs transmitted free of postage ur uther expense by the author or proprietor thereof, within "ne mouth of the dste of publication, to the library ol Congress at Washington for tbe use of said library; and the llbrurlau of Congress is hereby required to give a rssslpt In writing for the same. gio. 3. And be it furtlier enacted. That if any propri etor of a book, pamphlet, mup, chart, mimical composi tion, pi im. engraving, or photograph, for which a copy right a—all be secured ss aforesaid, shall neglect to dcliv ir the same pursuant to the requirement of this act, it shall bs the duty of the librarian of Congress to make iliriuni.il thfroofin writing, at uny time within twelve months after the puhlicaiiuu theieof; and in delimit of the do livery thereof within one month after, the demand shall have been made, tho right of exclusive publication se cured to such proprietor under the acts of Congress re specting copyright shall bs forfeited.
