Every man on the ticket from top to bottom is worthy the support of all g <oct Republicans. In iormei vears, aa’C all know that theie has been some dissention in the partv, but that time is past, and this is a good opportunity to bury the hatchet and place a cross in the place provided at the top of the ticket. lhis has been a quiet campaign compar ed with other years, we may poll alight vote, but in any event let’s keep Vilas county in the Republican column by electing the entire county ticket. Be a Republican. Vote it straight! HIGH SCHOOL NOTES. The social given at the Congrega tional Church Parlors by the High School Football Team, ably assisted bv the high scnool faculty and girls of the high school was a brilliant suc cess both socially and financially. Ice cream, cake, sandwiches, doughnuts *nd coffee were served from four un til ten on last Friday evening. During this time a lunch was furnished to •mine fifteen members of the M. \\ A. lodge. At the close of the social, a dance which was well patronized, was given at Lyceum Hail. The pro ceeds. amounting in all to over twen ty live dollars, was sntFieieivt to cover the debt owed by t!ie team. The Rhinelander boys failed to put an appearance Saturday in answer to a challenge sent by the Eagle River boys for a final contest/frn the grid iron. James Morgan received some cars of h ird wood Thursday and partly supplied his customers. He informs us that the difficulty has been in get ting men to load, but that there will be no further trouble, as he will have several cars more in a short time. Rev. A.C*. Warden Oberholtzer’s men brought in two deer Sunday that they found near Franklin lake. The deer were found Friday and the wardens watch ed them two days in the hope that whoever shot them would return for them, but no one came. The deer were shipped to Madison this morn ing. Tbos.
