WHEREAS the Town of Flam beau has voted to build and to construct a Bridge over and across Spring Creek in Section 30 Township 40 Range 5 East, in said Town of Flambeau, at an estimated cost of Nine Hundred Dollars, and has provided by a tax levy sufficient funds to provide for the payment of it’s one-half share of the cost of said bridge, to-wit: of the sum of Four Hun dred fifty ($450.00) Dollars; and has petitioned this Board and asked that Vilas County make a levy and an appropriation of the sum of Four Hundred Fifty ($450.00) Dollars to provide for the County's one-half share of the cost of constructing said bridge. • Now therefore he it resolved by the County Board of Supervisors of Vilas County, mat there is hereby levied u|>on all of the taxable property of Vilas County a tax sufficient to take care of it’s one-half share, or the sum of Four Hundred Fifty ($450.00) Dollars and the same is hereby ap imrpriated to pay for the build of said bridge, or so much thereof as may be necessary and required for that pur]****. May 12. 1921 To the Honorable, the County Board ‘of Supervisors of Vilas Ounty: Gentlemen: Whereas, pursuant to the pro vision of paragraph 2 of Section 1317m-4 of the Wisconsin Statutes of 1919, the qualified electors- of the Town of Plum Lake at a special town meeting held on the 27th day of June, 192 L duly levied a special tax for the suin of Five Hundred Dollars for the purpose of improving by surfac ing ami graveling that portion of the county highway running be tween Sayner and Star Lake, Now threfore the Town of Plum Lake reflectively petition that your body levy and appropriate under the terms of Para. 2 of Section 1317m-4, the sum of Five Hunrded Dollars as county aid to he placed in a fund to be used in the improving by surfacing with gravel that portion of said County Highway. Whereas the County Agricultural Agent has apfieared before this Hoard and has represented to the Board that he can buy the ma terial aryl build two silo forms, one to be used in erecting a ten foot silo and one to be used in erecting a 12 foot silo at a cost of around $120.00, and Whereas it is helived to he to the best interests of the residents of Vilas County that such silo forms should he bought and paid for by the county and then rent ed out to such |iersdns as wish to use them at the rate bf SI.OO for each 3 feet in height of the silo to lie built. Now therefore he it resol vim 1 that the county agricultural representative lie and he is hereby authorized to get the material and cause to be built two sets of silo forms, one set for a ten foot silo and one set for a 12 foot silo; and that when such forms are ready for use the county agricultural agent is hereby au thorized to rent such forms out to the farmers of Vilas county to he used in the erection of silos in this county and to charge for and collect for the use of such forms and at the rate of SI.OO for each three feet in height of the silo built; and the ex|>ense of moving such forms from the county agricultural representa tive’s place of storage and of re turning them to such place shall he paid for by the person using such forms; ami that such agri cultural representative notify any persons wishing to use such forms that they will tie held res|w>nsible for any damage, other than or dinary wear and tear, which may hapi*en to such forms while in the possession of such person. Resolved by the County Board of Supervisors of Vilas County that County Highway and Bridge Bonds issued under date of May Ist, 1920, and numbered Three (3), Thirteen (13) and Seventeen (k 7 he not sold and that said bonds be now destroyed by burning same together with the interest coupons attached in the furnace in the basement of the court house in the presence of three members of the County* Board, which members shall be appointed hy the chairman. Whereas the Attorney General did on the 18th day of May. 1921. duly certify to the legality of the county highway and bridge lionds issued under date of May Ist, 1920, and. Whereas the Hackley-Phelps- Bonnell Co. and the Turtle Lake Lumber Co. agreed in writing each to take at par Five Thou sand Dollars of such bonds when so certified hut to date has failed to do so. Now therefore lie it resolved that the county treasurer is hereby directed to deposit Four Thousand Dollars of such bonds in the Farmers &. Merchant’s State Hank of Eagle River and draw his draft against the Hai k ley-Phelps-Bonnell Co. for the Four Thousand Dollars ami ac crued interest; and that he also deposit another Four Thousand Dollars of such bonds in the same hank and draw his draft against the Turtle I*ake Lumber Co. for Four Thousand Dollars and ac crued interest on said bonds; anil that he notify each of said Com panies of his action and demand ttmt they take up such bond* as they have agreed to do. Motion made, seconded and car ried that there he transferred from the General Fund to the Highway Fund the sum of $3000.00 and that the County Clark and County Treasurer for ward the sum of S3OOO 00 to the State to apply on the County s share of the cost of the two Federal Aid Highway Projects.
