The three great things

household supplies are with
most people: Price, Quan

‘Owen held that there is no provision
in the statutes which will permit a
town, city or village which owns its
water works or lighting plant to sell
or lease It to any private corporation.
The above appeared in our ready
print service last week and as we have
in the past heard considerable appre

town or village board might jockey

: BY OSCAR GUNDERSON -
The silo campaign is going on s%
and sure. We had to get four farmers
to erect concrete silos, to get the Uni
versity to build us a set of steel forms.
That was soon done and wenow know
where SIX concrete silos are to be
built. Nine farmers have definitely
decided to build silos and as many
more are seriously considering it.
Some will build of concrete, some with
staves. Both are good. In every com
munity where a silo is built there will
be several more the next year. Thisis
the-universal experience all over the
state. With silo-building and plat
work and the rest we guess our ‘Ford’
will do considerable traveling next
summer.
We had a letter rgcently from Mr.
Nickel, of Seymour, who is coming
here to.start the creamery He is
looking forward to the time with
much enthusiasm. Now, every farmer
should do his utmost to gef cream to
sell. Buy an extra cow or two. They
will pay you good interest on the
money if properly managed. Form co
operative associations to haul the
cream. If six farmers combine and
form a cream route each one's turn
will come only once in three weeks.
A successful creamery is the greatest
factor for the wellfare of a farming
community that is known. Support it
and thus help yourself and your
neighbors.
‘Our stereopticon is here and at work.
Jan. 11th a meeting was held at the
new schoolhouse at Sayner. By the
way, Sayner has the finest one-room
schoolhouse we have ever seen. Jan. 14,
a meeting was held at the Sundsten
schoolhouse and the next evening one
in the Bohemian district schoolhouse.
Last week meetings were held at Mon
heim, Pioneer Lake and Mayo school
house. The meetings were ail well at
tended. Silos and dairying was the
subject of lecture and slides.
Supt. Cook had a set of fine slides on
Yellowstone Park and lectured on the
same. Next week we are going to the
town of Phelps.
