4th. That the Germania Land
and Loan Cos., plaintiff, pay as a
reasonable and just proportion
of its taxes, for the year 1896,
sale of 1897, fifty cents on the
one dollar cL the face of the cer
tificates, on all lands located in
range eleven [ll,]4and seventy
cents on the one dollar on the
face of the certificates, on all
lauds located in all ranges, in
said county east of range eleven
[ll,] in all amounting to the stun
of , and that the plaintiff re
cover the sum of thirty dollars,
costs in said action. The above
statement is respectfully sub
mitted to the county board of
Forest county, by said officers
of said eoonty, as an equitable
adjustmrnt of the matters at issue
between said plaintiffs and said
def undents'* and as being in their
judgment lor the best interests
of said county.

The following resolutions were
presented and on motion adopt
ed.
Resolved, That the county of
Forest appropriate the sum of
one hundred and fifty dollars,
for the purpose of making ex
hibits of its agricultural and
garden produce, at the county
fairs ofwlie state of Wisconsin,
during the fail of the year 1899,
and that such exhibits be made
under the direction of the board
of said county.
Resolved, That all hinds
owned by the county of Forest,
in ranges nine [9,] ten [lo] and
eleven [ll] in Oneida county, and
all l.ands owned by said county
in the-plat of the village of Wall,
Forest county, be offered for sale
in the office of the county troas
urerjnn the court house, in the
village of Crandon, in said coun
ty-, on the 4th day of September,
1899, at 2 o’clock in the after
noon, the county reserving the
right to accept or reject any and
all bids that shall be made.
The work of moving the wood
jslied Was awarded to George
Bailey, for the sum of 896.87.

Carl Bonike and family moved

John Carlson is busy lathing
and plastering his house: Wm,
Brigham is assisting him.
Miss Katie Hughes is working
at John's; Mrs. Johns being
quite ill.
Jack and friend were up Tues
day to make a purchase. Jack
was successful but his friend fail
ed.
Mrs. Tlios. Moore and daugh
ter Madgie went to Fon du Lac
to visit Mrs. Moore's parents at
that place.
Herman Masbamn of North
Crandon and Miss Helen Benike
of this city will be married
shortly. Pilots
Ed. Moore was. at Shawano
the latter part of lust week and
bought a horse in place of the one
recently lost.
M. J. Dickinson re turned from
Chicago, where he had been to
place orders for some more new
goods, Monday,
Hugh Traynor left last week
for Spalding, Michigan, near
which place he intends to work
in the woods this winter.
Supervisor Traynor and E. F.
Carter were in town Monday.
Mr. Traynor and crew are work
ing on the new road, which was
recently laid out at Carter.
The editor of the Shawano
Volksbote, (Violinus Orgelmann)
and Rev. E. G. Junghans of
Belle Plaine were i'ti town last
Tuesday.
Engineer McGinley went down
the line to do .- ome surveying for
