DECEMBER 16. 1921 SCHOOL NOTES The Economics class is conducting its own recitations and is covering a great deal of ground though not as thorough ly as when Mr. Switzer conducted the class. From Gillett our fighting five go to Oconto to play the Oconto high school. No reports have come to Wabeno con cerning Oconto’s team, but our fellows expect a hard fight and a close score. W E. Switzer, who has been gone for over a week and a half because of the illness of Mrs. Switzer, writes that he will possibly not return until after the holidays. Mr. Nelson has charge of -4he school while he is away. Wabeno high school team play Cran-’ don at Wabeno this Friday Our fam ous fighting five defeated them already this year at Crandon with a score of 18 to 23 We are sure of victory again. Our basket ball team will play Gillett Thursday, Dec 22 It ought to he an easy matter to defeat them as Goodman did, and we have proven that our team is far superior to Goodman's. The third game of the season was played with Goodman at Neider’s hall last Friday Goodman put up a good! fight but wasn't in a class with our players Toward the end of the game the score was so one sided that Mr. Nelson, our coach, put Jim Quinlan in Edward Derrah’s position and Garfield Chinnock in Efherel Phillipp’s place, placing Clarenc- Hoffman in Garfield's position in order to give members of j the second team more practice and fit | them for our next year’s basket ball! team. Wabeno high school won with a score of 6 to 40. We hope that Wabeno high will de feat Goodman when they play on Good man's floor as Goodman is always boasling that they have never been de feated on their own floor.
