Holsapla former Wabeno residents have returned to Boperton to remain. Mr. Holsaple has resumed his former position with the Menominee Bay Shore Lbr. Cos. Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Frank of Ced arburg spent a weeks vacation at the Lutheran parsonage. During his stay Mr. Frank caught a pickerel at Long Lake 33 inches long weighing 8J lbs. Wednesday Rev. Wm. Iluth and Mr. Chr. Schmal! left per auto for Weyau wega where they will represent the lo cal Lutheran Church at the North Wis consin District of the Wisconsin Synod. J. D. Grandine of Argonne, Assembly man for this district and M. S. Barker of Crandon were in the village Monday. Mr. Grandine will be a candidate for re nomination and was here to interview the yoters. Mr. and Mrs. Dana Richardson of Mil vvaukee arrived Saturday on a visit at the Boss Richardson home here and at the T. A. Richardson home at Tip ler. After the 4th of July Mr. Switzer and Earl Holman of Antigo intend to take a trip to the Yellowstone National Park and other places in the west. Dr. and Mrs. P. J. Noer, Miss Ruth Noer who has been teaching school at St Paul and Rudolph Noer, who is attending the state university, arrived home last Thursday night from Madi son where they had been to attend the wedding of Harold Noer. Developmemt Association Held B:!g Meeting Seventy-two men enjoyed the chicken supper at the Grand Plank Hotel Mon day evening given by the Forest County Developmemt Association. The attend ance was the largest of any meeting held by the association and representa tives from and part of the county were present.. After the banquet a very interesting meeting was held at Neider’s hall. W. D Connor Jr. President of the Associa tion, presided and in a few well chosen words made it plain that the work and object of the Association was for the development of the entire county in ev ery way and not for a particular class of business or any one community. Mr. Clawson, our local game warden, made a plea for the preservation of the state game reserve near Alvin and ask ed for the cooperation of every one in the county for the protection of our fish and game from willful violators Mr. Stewart, our new county agent, gave a good talk along agricultural lines and asked all to assist in bringing to gether a good exhibit for the state fair. The chairman of each committee made a report of the work accomplish ed by his committee and suggestions as to future work. John Sweenhart, our former county agent, gave an excellent talk on the needs of Forest County. He urged that the farmers and land owners take steps to clear more land *By the aid of a chart he gave facts and figures showing that the farmers of the county as a whole already have more cattle than they can grow feed for and pointed out that the one urgent need was more cleared land. A vote of thanks was extended to the Grand Plank Hotel for theexcellent supper served. The next meeting will be held at Hiles on July 17th. Andrew Rietz and Miss Clara Saffron Married Miss Clara Saffron of Mountain and Andrew Rietz of this village were mar ried at the Lutheran Church at Moun tain Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock, Rev Huthofficiating. They were attend ed by Herman Saffron, brother of the bride and Frieda Rietz, sister of the groom. The happy young couple left on a motor trip to Green Bay, Wausau and other places and will also spend a few days at one of the lakes. The bride graduated from the Wab eno high school three years ago and has made many friends here. The groom is associated with his father and brother in the garage and automobile business.
