Dancy, Commis sioners, for the town of Tarboro Lieut. Staton. Wc are pleased to announce that Lieut. Staton has arrived safely at home, and that lie is in fine health, and excellent spir its. We welcome Lieut. Staton hack to Edgecombe, with heartfelt pleasure; and hope soon to see the rest of Edgecombe's sons, returning to their peaceful homes. Lieut. Staton has had no opportunity to show his prowess on the field of battle, but he has evinced a willing and determined snirit- and seeing there was no probability of active service herealter, he resigned his commission and has returned to attend to his private interest. Licuts. Pender and Stnglelary. The Raleigh Register has published a letter, from the camp of North Carolina Volunteers, with discreditable reflections on Licuts. Pender and Singletary, insinu ating that their return to camp has renew ed the disorders in the Regiment. These gallant young officers seem the objects of special persecutions.
