Baldness and loss of Hair h caused by a want of healthy action of the vessels which throiv off the perspiration, from the head. When these vessels are weak or diseased, the perspiration is thick and cla'nmy, and adheres to the mouths of the pores, and clogs them up, and dries and forms scurf or dandruff. Less blood is then carried to the roots of the hair, and for want of which the hair has not sufficient nourishment, and consequently becomes lry and harsh, and begins insensibly to fall off, which continuing to increase even tually produces baldness. Restore the capillary vessels of the hair to their former healthy circulation, and a fine silky new hair will make its appearance, which will increase in quantity and volume until the hair becomes thick and healthy. 3 ay tic' a ll'iir Tonic is the only prepara tion that has ever been known to produce new hair on bald heads, which it has done in innumerable instances, and will seldom 'fail, 'if properly and perscveringly used. This valuable preparation excites the scalp to a new and healthy action, cleanses it from scurf and dandruff, prevents the hair from falling off, or becoming prema lurcly gray, cures those eruptive diseases which often appear upon the head, and in n majority of cases, produces a fine growth of new rnir. It also gives the hair a rich ami beautiful appearance, unequalled b any thin of the kind. - fcjJ'ayneis Expectorant. To these our attention will be chiefly directed, but at the same time we will endeavor not to lose siht of other questions, which, thoughl secondary to these, involve some of the most important interests ot the nation; such, for:instance are the questions of a National Bank, Distribution,. Internal Im provements, &c, on all of which the Hat oon will be decidedly Democratic. But the discussion of these and all others must give way, for the present, to that of the all absorbing, deeply interesting and pro lific question the Mexican War; and,. in relation to this it will be a strenuous dc fendcr of the course pursued by the pres- ent administration.
