Sealed proposals will be received by the Capitol Commission at their office in the capitol building at Bismarck, N. D., until 1 o'clock p. m., Tuesday Tan. 12th, 1904. '.For the erection and completion of tile proposed North Wing to the State Capitol also making certain changes and alterations in the old building. Separate bids with certified checks accompanying each, will be submitted as follows: First—For the general contract fbr the new building chcck $5,000.00. Second—For the general contract for the old building included in above. Third—For the plumbing, $500.00. Fourth—For furnishing and installing one passenger elevator, $500.00. Fifth—For the electric wiring, $300.00. All the above checks'to be made pay able to the order of Frank White, gov ernor and chairman of the commission, and will be given as a guarantee of good faith, that the contractor whose bid shall be accepted will enter into con tract at the price named in his bid. And also that he will within a rea sonable time tarnish a good and ap proved surety bond, in a sum equal to the amount of the contract price and in strict accordance with chapter 133 of the laws of 1901, of the state of North Dakota, for the faithful execution of the contract, otherwise the check to be forfeited. C., Gus Johnson and Everett 1,1 V !«, THE FARGO FORUM AND -DAILY REPTOUCAN^'SATURDAYV EVENINGi^.bECEMB^"A6£iii^V*$^^ I AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE The boys of the class from the agri cultural college, who are attending the big stock show at Chicago, will have the opportunity of renewing acquaint ance with their old friend Professor Zintheo, who is also at the show with his machinery class from the agricul tural college of Iowa. The boys of these two classes, especially, will have a sentiment in common and will no doubt rub shoulders together from an interesting and common standpoint. Mr. Zintheo writes that he has very large clases and plenty of room for the development of his special line of work, hew in the curriculum of the agricultural colleges. He says that since he has been at Ames, the seat of the agricultural college of Iowa, The chapel hour is growing more and more in favor as is evidenced not only by the regular attendance of the entire student body but also by the numerous visitors from town who are present each week, ft is the aim of the programme committee to give something each week' which will be a treat to all those in attendance. This past week President Worst entertain ed the students not with a "fatherly advice" as he termed it but with a most eloquent and stirring address 011 the school condition of the state. Professor Bolley is expected to ar rive in New York about Dec. 8. From there he will hasten home to make preparations for the winter work. Pro fessor and Mrs. Bolley have been gone now about eight'months, and reports say that he is much improved in health. He undoubtedly will bring back many new ideas and plans appli cable to station work. One of the pleasant social occa sions of the season at the college was the Y. M. C. A. social given in Fran cis Hall last Thursday to the youn^ men of the institution. The halls were crowded with students refreshments were served and a jolly good time en joyed by all.
