D., Dec. 5.—To The Forum: A real good joke should not be lost In a corner. In a certain precinct in Rolette county there lives an honest old man who has a genius for blun dering. He always votes "straight /republican" by checking each indi vidual name. He does not notice what office each man is for for he is certain any republican Is good enough for any office. On election day he checked Sarles, Knauff, etc., but when he saw the name of Gronna he passed it without a check. On his saying to me "this is the first time I ever fail ed to vote as my patyr say," I replied "What was it you did not vote for?" He replied "Gronna." I asked "what have you against "Gronna?" He re plied, "M'm, pretty small, pretty small, you can't see the measly thing with out a miscroscope. The republicans won't vote to have the county seat at Gronna. Rollo is better." Gronna a little siding five miles south of Rol la has a store and a couple of houses and he thought "Gronna" meant to move the county seat there.
