Four violators of the bicycle ordin ance were arraigned before Judge Roberts in police court this, morning arid each paid a fine of $1 for the of fense. While talking to a representative of The Forum this morning Seiat-r Ma it in said that the conditions in his part cf the state were never better than they are right at the present timi and he looks for one of the biggest crops in the history of Morton county. The test case of the bicycle ordin ance did not turn out quite as expect ed yesterday afternoon. Thos. Green shieds' who tried the test, was con victed and assessed a fine of $1. In his defense he stated that he had rid den on the sidewalk but a few feet and then only upon entering his home. The case, however, still stands and it is probable that Mr. Greenshields will tpke it to the district court before he is done. The Freshman class of Fargo college has at last waked tip and this eveh ing give themselves a picnic ijj the perfumed jungles along the roaring Red. They have kept their plans more or less concealed but it seems that the affair is to be a fruitbasket picnic and not one of the lowbrow wiener wurst affair that were so common last year. As the fruit in the lemon groves beside the river's limpid stream is not ripe, guests are requested to bring oranges and lemons in abundance. The meeting will be a big one, dele gates being expected from every eec tfcvn of North Dakota. There will be a number of important things taken up at the meeting which will be presided over by President W. W. Smith of the state association. Arrangements are being made by the Fargo Auto club and the local officers to make this meeting a good one and one that will be enjoyed by the large number of visitors that wlU be In the city for the sessions. WILL BUILD COUNTY ROAD The county commissioners have an nounced that they will build an auto mobile road from Harwood to Grandin, provided that the to*%nship through which the propped road is to pass will assist in meeting the expenses of con struction The county commissioners have ar ranged for improving several roads in Cass county along these lines and the indications are that the townships will come forward and help to improve the Harwood-Grandin line Musical Program 8unday. The program for the Vesper service at the Congregational church will be furnished by the Fargo college or chestra, the Girls' Glee club, violin solos by Mr. Paul Graham, trios by Messrs.
