Proposal for 8lle of Seed Grain
Bonds.
Sealed propostls will be received at
the office of the county auditor of
Ward county, North Dakota, in the
oithirt house in the city of Minot, in
said county and state, for the sale of
Ward county seed grain bonds, issued
in persuance of an act of the legis
lative assembly of the state of North
Dakota, 1909 session, known as House
Bill No. 12, entitled, "An act aothor
osing counties to issue bonds or war
rants to procure seed grain for the
needy formers, resident therein."
Said bonds will be in denomination
of five hundred ($600.00) dollars, due
in two years from date of issue, and
will bear interest at the rate of seven
per cent per annum. The board of
county (commissioners have authoriz
ed bonds to be issued to the amount
of thirty-five thousand ($35,000.00)
dollars, but only so much of the
said bonds issued will be sold as shall
be necessary to provide funds for the
seed grain application acted upon and
allowed, at, and prior to the date of
sale of the said bonds. There will
be at least twenty thousand ($20,000.
0Q) dollars of the said bond issue
sold. The board of county commis
sioners reserve the right to reject
any and all bids.

Contest Notice.
Department of the Interior, United
States Land Offlce, Bismarck, North
Dakota, March 19th, 1909.
A sufficient contest affidavit having
been filed in this office by Bedar Hill
of Lawton, North Dakota, contestant,
against homestead entry No. 39190,
made October 14th, 1907, lor the
southwest quarter (SW%) of section
8, township 141, range 75, by George
H. Chroge, contestee, in which it is
alleged that said George H. Chroge
has failed and neglected to erect a
habitable house on said land that he
has failed and neglected to establish
and maintain his residence thereon,
and has abandoned the same for
more than six months last past that
he has established and maintains his
residence elsewhere, to-wit: With
his mother on section 20, township
141, range 75, west of the 5th P. M.,
at which place he now lives, and has
for a long time that since the affi
davit of .contest was filed and before
the contest notice was issued from
the U. S. land office at Bismarck, N.
D., the said George H. Chroge left the
state of North Dakota. That his ab
sence from said land is not due to
his employment in the U. S army or
navy, in time of war. Said parties
are hereby notified to appear, respond
and offer evidence touching said al
legation, at 10 o'clock a. m.t on April
30th, 1909, before the Register and
Receiver of the United States land
offlce in Bismarck, North Dakota.
The said contestant having in a
proper affidavit, filed February 19th,
1909, set forth facts which show that
after due diligence personal service
of this notice cannot be made, it is
hereby ordered and directed that
such notice be given by due and prop
er publication.
