Boarding Car Robbers Plead Guilty— Sentences Will Be Pronounced by Judge on Monday Morning. The jury in the case of the State vs. Frank Finlayson and George Gandy, charged with violation of the state prohibtion law, were found guilty by a jury which reported at 7:30 last evening. Sentenea will be pronounced by Judge Winchester on Boarding Car Robbers. Edward Crane. Frank Howard and Howard Bonde, who were arrested at Driscoll last month charged with breaking into a boarding car on the Northern Pacific tracks at that place, were before the court following the sending of the Finlayson-Uandy case, and pleaded guilty. Last Sunday when the two teams fought it out on the New Salem diamond, each of the opposing twirlers struck out seventeen of the opponents who faced him. It is confidently ex pected that this record will be dupli cated tomorrow. *++++++++++*+*++*+, STATE MORMAL BOARD TO HOLD 2 MEETINGS WILL DECIDE ON LOCATION FOR NEW NORMAL SCHOOL AT Ml NOT ON TUESDAY. Meeting Scheduled for Valley City on Monday, When Plans for New Build ing Will Be Gone Over. There are two important meetings of the State Normal board of trus tees scheduled for next week. The first one will be held at Val ley City, Monday, when the board will meet for the purpose of going over the plans for the new building that is to be erected there this sum mer, and the second meeting will be at Minot, when it is hoped that some decision can be reached regarding the location of the new Normal school which is to be built there and forsorbs which an appropriation was made at the last session of the legislature. This" matter has been postponed sev eral times on account of an inability of the parties interested to agree on a suitable site. It is expected, how ever, that some sort of a compromise will be arrived at on Tuesday. MILWAUKEE COMPANY HAS FILED A DEED PARENT COMPANY SELLS TO THE CHICAGO, MILWAUKEE AND PUGET SOUND.. Secretary Deed Filed in Office of of State—No Change in Policy Will Reault. Business There has been filed in the office of the secretary of state, P. D. Norton, a deed which conveys from the Chi cago, Milwaukee and St. Paul road to the Chicago, Milwaukee and Puget Sound road, all its lines in North Dakota. That part of the line in North Dakota is the new transcontinental road which was but recently com pleted and runs through the south western corner of the state. It also includes another small strip of road which has been in existence in the state for several years and touches at Linton. This will not mean any change in th business policy of the new line is a move that has been ex pected since the new line was first started. The Chicago, Milwaukee and Puget Sound road will be an active bidder for transcontinental business in the Tuture. RY. COMMISSIONERS fHEETING AT FINLEY MANAGER OF FARMERS ELEVA TOR COMPANY SKIPPED OUT WITH FUNDS. Commissioner Will Look After Inter ests of the Patrons of the Elevator Company. The members of the North Dakota railroad commission are meeting to day at Finley, where they are look ing after the affairs of the Farmers Elevator company of that place. It appears that the manager of the com pany has left for parts unknown and there are outstanding tickets amount to 12,000 bushels, besides 10,000 busheU to a commission house in Minneapolis. The elevator is valued at about $5,000 clear of leins, and the cash on hand is about $1,400. The manager had a bond to the company for $2,500. and of course the com pany has a bond to the state. The commissioners thought the matter of enough importance to go to Finley and look into the matter and get the affairs of the concern straightened out if that is possible. The bond to the state is only for $5,000. FINEST BALL PARKS IN THE Another feature of the game Sun day is that it is the opening of the new league park at the capital city. Bismarck now boasts one of the best little baseball parks there is in the state and the work on the grounds and the grandstand has just been completed. There is ample room for 1200 spectators and they Will all be assured of a comfortable place from which to witness the contest. During the game last Sunday, New Salem was weakened by the absence two of her best players, but they are back in the harness for the con test Sunday. They are expecting to turn the tables on the capital city while the local aggregation is equally certain that no such disas event shall occur. COMMENCEMENT Tha souvenir invitations and pro grams of the seventeenth commence, ment exercises of the North Dakota Agricultural College, have just been issued. Typographically they are a work of art and the information con tained therein makes them of such interest that they will no doubt be long preserved by the recipients. The commencement exercises will cover the period between June 2 and June 6 and elaborate preparations have been made to impress upon those in attendance the high state of efficiency attained by the college.
