The Ulmer Brothers garage was one of the best in any of the north line towns. It was. of concrete and timber construction, but ojls and gas oline over the floors, and store room furnished a ready material for the flames. Upwards of twenty automo biles stored in the place were destroy ed, while the electric light plant was also consumed. The loss is keenly ftelt at this time as Ulmer Brothers were doing an enormous trade and as agents for several makes of cars, had just re ceived a shipment. The loss is es timated to total .$30,000. sjf it.nil i&Mli. Taken Into Custody by Chicago Police on Information From New York. Chicago, Feb. 16.—Antonio Coda Tonione, 24 years old, was taken into custody this afternoon by detectives, following receipt of information from the u\"ew York police that be was a friend of Jean Crones, the University club assistant chef, believed by the police to have put. poison in the soup of the guests at the Archbishop Mun delein banquet last Thursday night. Tonione gave as his address a house in which Crones formerly lived. 'Chemists today were asked to as certain the nature of another poison found in the kitchen utensils used in preparation of the banquet. It. was said that the new poison was the pri mary drug used and that the one first found was merely a secondary poison. Search for Crones and the woman with whom be is said to have left town continued both in Chicago ami in other cities. Search Twin Cities. The Minneapolis detective depart ment made another quiet search of the Italian colony here today in an ef fort to find some trace of Jean Crones, who is charged with putting poison in Ihe soup served at the banquet given to Archbisliop Mundelein in Chicago recently. A man answering the description of Crones, and accompanied by two com panions, a man and a woman, spent Sunday night and Monday in the Ital ian colony and then boarded a north- SUMMCNS. FOUND WY ON Wilton Man Found Guilty in the District Court Montgomery Case to Jury Today. iRoy D. Young of Wilton was found guilty in district court yesterday morning on a charge of keeping for sale intoxicating liquors as a bever age. The jury returned its verdict at 11:15. The case was tried before Judge Hanley of Mandan and was given to the jury Tuesday evening, at 6:35. Judge Hanley will hand down Ihe sentence Friday. The case of the State versus Frank 'Montgomery took the attention of the court yesterday. .Montgomery is be ing tried on a statutory charge. The case was tried before Judge W. L. Nuessle and will go to the jury this morning, after Judge iNuessle in structs the jurors. The case of the Stjite versus Carl Wanson, who will be tried on a charge of robbery, will be taken up today. But ihe boss was an intelligent man and he listened to advice. A friend of his happened in that afternoon and told him to go to The Tribune And insert a help.wanted ad. And he did. And it didn't cost him hardly anything, nor did he have any trouble.
