Tult'ord, who will assist Mr. McCalley in the Riley-Foley pro gram this evening, at the Presby terian church, is a young organist of more than ordinary ability. He is but twenty-one years of age and holds de grees as bachelor of music conferred by several institutions, and his grasp of the tonal effects of a pipe organ is conceded to be equal to any artist of the northwest. This is a noble in strument and in Mr. Tulford's playing is revealed power and sympathy to an extraordinary degree. Mr. Tul l'ord is a young man who will be heard from in the world of musical art. Fulford Organist Come and enjoy an evening with Riley, Foley and other humorous authors, at the PBESiYTIRIAN CHURCH Society News Old-Timers Complete Plans for Organization Meeting Between four and five hundred sons and daughters of I he* seventies and eighties are expected to gather at the Commercial club ball this evening, when a permanent, organization, to be known a.s the "Pioneers' Association of Bismarck and Rurlelgli County," will be tunned. Over three hundred ol-d-iiiners have registered for mem bership and il is hoped that this num ber will ne increased to Jive hundred this evening. The Commercial club hall will be turned over to the first families of the city and county. Everything will be opened to the guests of honor. The program will begin at 7:30 with the formal organization of the association. The membership fee has been placed at fifty cents per annum. No other charges will be made. Dancing and liii pastimes will follow the organi zation and a cafeteria lunch will be serwd. The meeting this evening is expect ed to be the biggest rally ever held by the old-timers and the committees in charge have put forth every effort to make it a huge success. To Leave for Home. Miss Angie F. Bolt, who has been the guest oi' her brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Holt, of Ninth street, for several weeks, will leave Tuesday for her home in Grand Haven, Midi. To Present Play. Members of the Monday club, who will participate in the play which will be presented by the club Tuesday eve ning, April 2"), held a rehearsal yes terday afternoon in the home of Mrs. W. E. The Easter sale of fancy work and food, under the auspices of the Ladies Aid society of the Baptist church, will be held this afternoon, beginning at 1 o'clock in the church parlors, The members have spent, considerable time in arranging for the affair and will have on sale a fine line of fancy and domestic articles and home-made foodstuffs. Nurses Convention Closes. Devils Lake was the place selected for the 1917 State Nurses association at' the convention which closed in Mi not Thursday. Miss Mable Olson of Fargo was re-elected president of the association. The meetings were well attended by nurses from all over the state. Over twenty nurses from the capital city attended, returning home last evening. New Y. W. C. A. Head. Mrs. Ora Tarberry, formerly of Jamestown, has been appointed as the new matron for the Fargo V. \V. A. For the past seven years Mrs. Tarberry has been engaged in work along Hie Pacilie coast. Miss Flora Harmon of this place, who lias been spending several weeks in New York City studying piano un der Rudolph C.anz, will return to the capital city next week. Miss Harmon has been specializing in technical teaching under Mr. Ganz and will re turn to the city to resume her classes. Miss Harmon was one of the artists who played in p. recital at the Gotham club at the Astor Hotel iast week arid was made chairman of the musical committee of the club. Announces Marriage. Announcement has been made of the marriage of Frank A. Hobza and Mrs. Neoma Coyne of Bismarck. They were married Wednesday by Judge 14. C. Bradley of the probate court.. The groom was formerly of Liderwood, but is now a member of the Bismarck Tri bune force. Mr. Hobza took up print ing on the Lidgerwood Broadaxe, com pleting his trade there. For three years he was a member of the city council of that place and a member of the fire department. Mr. Hobza and his bride will reside in this city. Sunday School Worders Here. Rev. and Mrs. Walter A. Snow, the former, general secretary of the Slate Sunday School association, and the latter, elementary superintendent of the same association, stopped off in the capital city yesterday enroute from Oliver county to Burnstad. In Burnstad Mr. and Mrs. Snow will have charge of the Sunday school conven tion of the Logan and Mcintosh coun-, ties association. D. L. Anderson is president and Mrs. J. B. Saylor is sec retary and treasurer of the associ.i-! tion. The convention will be held in' the Methodist Episcopal church of which Rev. C. C. Kinder is pastor. Mr. nnd Mrs. Snow will go next week to Walsh county to conduct a conven tion. They are also planning for the state convention at Devils Lake, which will be held June Hi, 14 and 15.
