SWINE EXHIBIT SENT
HERE FOR BRYAN FAIR
Texas Stock Farm Making Cir
cuit Assumed Such Display
Would Be Welcomed
Mrs. C. K. Bryan found she had
something more than horses on her
hands, today, when she was informed
that a consignment of 70 swine was
coming in to exhibit at her speed and
carnival fair next week.
The consignment was purely volun
tary. The owners, the Maggie Valley
Stock farm, Texas, are making the
circuit of. the fairs through the North
west and, assuming that the local
a O ve ®tock and implement
exhibition in Addition to the speed
and carnival features, billed their ex
hibits here, expecting a welcome to
the show.
What to do about the consignment
had not been decided at noon. Either
the swine will be reconsigned to their
next exhibiting point. Devils Lake, or
Mrs. Bryan will try to accommodate
the owners by slapping together some
pens, so they can show their exhibit
and do business if they can find any.
If all goes well, such offerings will
not be an embarrassment next year,
as Mrs. Bryan expects to develop her
present institution into a full-fledged
county fair.
