the class.
Larson Indicated Friday that he
hopes to enroll from 40 to 50 pupils in j
the new class.
The juvenile band. Larson said,
now consists of two bands, the con
cert band which numbers 35, and a

great, Larson said, each child need
ing only his instrument, one instruc
tion book and a music rack. All oth
er music and the costs of instruction
are paid for out of funds provided by
the Bismarck community chest Those
who do not have instruments may see
Larson and arrange for either a new
or a used instrument.
Commenting on band work for chil
dren of school age, Larson expressed
the opinion that all children have
some aptitude for and some apprecia
tion of music in some form or other.
It is his belief that the juvenile band
offers a wonderful opportunity to the '
children of Bismarck and that par- [
ents should take advantage of it. 1
