The gns well put down by the Consolidated Oil Co., northeast of this city, Is proving a wonder, and Is now producing sum dent gas to light the city of Lawton The noise of the pressure of the the gas can be heard half a block away, sounding something llko a loco motive making steam. A weight weighing probably 200 pounds was placed ovor the top of the well but the gas was oscaplng from under this weight with considerable force The well Is now down to a depth of COO feet and has been double cased with Iron tubing. Apparatus was ordered to cap the well and utilize the gas for heating purposes.
