I Gray, a Methodist minister of Potta ?.a, has bean saved from rough treatment at tho hands of a mob only by several little girls who clung cloaa to him as he left a school house be fore which nearly a c5ro of men had gathered Intent on seizing tho preach er. Gray bad been warned to preach no more In Casa, but disregarding the Injunction, he! rode Into the town last evening, accompanied by his small daughter. He was In the midst of a sermon delivered at the school house before a congregation composed main ly of women and children, when tho mob appeail'd before tho building. The minister at once left tho pulpit and statrtod for the door. A number of little girls fearful for his safety grasped his coat nnd clung closely to his side until the minister had mado his way through the mob and escaped Into the darkness.
