Klvo thous and pine trees an to be set out at the opening of spring in the Wichita mountain foiest reserve as an expe riment. The interior department has already made the order for the trees and as soon as they arrive they will bo planted, under the supervision of K. V. Morrissey, supervisor of tho .reserve. They will be scattered at va rious points In the reserve nnd will bo set out upon the slopes and val leys, where It Is expected they will do the best. If the government llnds that they do well at this place a largo number will be ordered for the suc ceeding years. This Is only one of tho many valuable Improvement the sec retary of Interior has In store for this reserve In the near future.
