Batteries: Caddo, I tho city and during his pastorate of Goeber and Cameron; Outlaws, Smith and Powers. The third game started off badly and the spectators began to get restless before the game was well under way. It was a farful lot of wrangling they did over a decision of Umpire Smith, folks who pay their money at the gate usually do so In order to see the game and do not care to hear the players "chew the rag" for a half hour delaying the game all the while. This sho'ild be avoided in the fu ture. It was a good game though and was well worth the price of admission, Grading did tho twirling for Caddofthey call him Grady, hut our sporting editor recognized him, he Is Christie Mathewson In dis guise), and right well did he do it. An extra session was necessary anil out of the eleven Innings the Out laws only touched Grady up for two hits. Caddo should have won this game, the homo boys had the best of It all tho way through, and but for the wild throw of Cameron to third when ho threw his arm out and let In n run no extra session would have been needed to get a deci sion. Garvin county is taking up the matter of building stone or concrete bridges following a recent bond Is sue vote. The following from the Wynnewod Xews on the matter ts Interesting at this time: Wc notice from the advertisements published in the Pauls Valley pa pers that the bridges to be built alt? designated as so many "steel bridges" and so many "frame j bridges." If this means that none ot 1 the money provided from the sale or these bonds can be used to bulla ' any other than "frame" or "steel" j bridges there Is going to be a mis-1 take made. Hardly a bridge In Gar-! vln county east of the Washita river 1 hut what could be bridged with concrete as cheaply as with lumber. Nearly everywhere a bridge Is need- ed in that section of Garvin eoun-1 ty there Is plenty of sand right 1 at hand to make concrete with , which to build It. Even if they, should cost more when once built the work would be done practi cally Tor all time. Where material 1 for concrote is not to bo had without hauling ton far. anil there is timber suitable foi building, it will be well enough to iiiske frame bridges.
