to rush recruiting of men for the
crews of merchant ships 'were sent
out today to agents of the shipping
board in all parts of the country.
"We shall want thousands of men
for our fleets," Chairman Hurley
aid. "Our recruiting service and
training ships will keep right on pre
paring men for Jobs on merchant
ships. The service is training at pres
ent 4.000 apprentices a month and
we are planning to Increase its out
put and the shipping board will con
