The Oklahoma Producing & Refin ing has announced a now issue of ,tock to the amount of 15,000,000. ,nd will immediately begin a very ictlre campaign of expansion in all directions. ' It is proposed to begin a drllllnK campaign in Texas that will absorb i Urge share of the new capital and it Is also proposed to take over any thing good in. the way of pro duction that Is on the market here. U has not yet been Announced as tn how the new lnsue will be pro rated or whether it will be pro rated or not. but one thing is certain, it fn be an attractive proposition to all investors, as the management Is as satisfactory to the well posted oil men as any that could possibly bo rotten together. It will add greatly to the prestige of Tulsa as 4his la the home of the Oklahoma Produoing & KeNnlngand the office force has been cntinually rrowlnr and is one of Tulsa's best assets. With the management in the hands ef John and James Crawford and wKh Homer Preston at the helm, it la beyond a doubt as sore of a suc cessful career as anything; can be In mis business of producing and refin ing oil. ' YOU can't depend en tirely on gas ! Remember last winter. Don't take chances with the health of yourself and family. Order Coal Now TTIiSA llKTAIIi COAL CO. J0O N. Boulder. Phone 31 S3. The Now Production In Texan, Tho production In Texas is only a Btiemi, but appears to ba growing slowly and Is furnishing a much needed supply of oil to take care of the rapidly Increasing demands. II Is coHt:n a pile of money and Texas operators are joining; in with the Oklahoma crowd and they are all asking what is the matter with the mnrket? There has been so little In the way of new pools uncovered outside of Texas during the last few years as to leave It a matter of whether or not Texas is going to supply, with all its drilling, tho tremendous need of oil. They are talking down there these d:i8 of n potential production and this is a decidedly problematical sub ject to figure on, and yet 1t must be taken into consideration as a factor In governing the price. That the production down there has been held hack by lack of transportation facil ities to a certain extent Is true, but tho refiners have come to the rescue ami are cleaning up every barrel of surplus oil In the Hurkburnett field and around r.Iertra. There are many tank car ahlp menta being made from Hanger nnd from Hrownwood and it is doubtful if anyone has a correct estimate as to tho, production of tho latter fields. Its potential production Is estimated at 65. 000 barrels and Its actual pro duction at less than half that amount The. transportation facilities are surely not r much to blame for the slow development as the holding bark of actual production and within a short time there will be pipe line facilities galore. In the meantime oil 1a oil and the wide world needs a lot of it, and the price should be higher and that at once. Had it not been that the price has been held back, gasoline might have been selling for at least 2 or S cents per gallon higher In all the great states making lip what Is known as the Standard of Indlanaterrltory. and kerosene right now is selling below Its actual value. 'ilie demand for kerosene this winter Is going to be enormous, as stoves that burn coaV'oll are going to be tised as never before, and then there is the great number of farm tractors made to use this, li cheaper product than gasoline. The price should advance and nobody object Crude oil Itself could easily be put up 60 cents per barrel and the oil producer get back some of the Ootrtlskl im itktfui a Mr What Will You Give Him for Christmas? THERE'S one thing that is certain; it will be a use ful gift; something that ho needs and would have to buy if you didn't give it to him. Nobody wants to be wasteful this year. It Will certainly be difficult to make soldiers out of our young men in the sense that the reg ural arrhy aro slodlers, and the quicker they get back home the bet-, ter it will sun the folks here.
