NOTICE
TO
THE STATU OF TEXAS,
?UE STATE OF OKLAHOMA,
THEIR RESPECT I VE OFFICERS,
AGENTS AND EMPLOYEES;
TO ALL PERSONS NOW IN POSSESSION OF
THE LANDS or property lying within the boundaries
hereinafter set forth; or in possession of any machinery,
fixtures, tools or properly of any kind or character on
said lands and used in connection with the extraction,
storage, transportation, refining or disposal of the oil or
gas products of said lands; or claiming any right, title
or interest in or to any of said lands, machinery, fixtures,
tools or properly;
GREETINGS:
WHEREAS, the undersigned, by certain orders of
the Supreme Court of the United States, passed on the
first and thirteenth days of April, 1920, in a cause now
pending on the docket of said Supreme Court, entitled
THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA, Complainant, versus
THE STATE OF TEXAS, Defendant, THE UNITED
STATES OF AMERICA, Intervener, and numbered 27
Original of the October Term, WW, of said Supreme Court,
was duly appointed Receiver of all lands contained within
the following metes and bounds, towil:
Hounded on the north by the mid. chan
nel of the Red River, as the mid chan
nel is hereinafter defined; on the cast by ex
tension south of the west boundary line of
Range 10 West between Township t South,
Range 10 West, and Township I South, Range
11 West, in Cotton County, Oklahoma,
crossing the remaining portion of said Red
River and to the fool of the Texas bluffs as
the South bank Thence up said River along
the fool of the Texas bluffs as the South bank,
through Ranges 11, 12, 13, and through Range
11 as follows: Commencing at a point on the
cast boundary line of Range 11 extended
which point is 110.50 chains from the original
meander corner of fractional Section ,11,

to a point on the present south bank of Red
River at the fool of the Texas bluff at the
intersection of a direct south extension of the
west boundary of Range 11 West between
fractional Section 7, Township 5 South, Range
11 West and Section 12, Township 5 South,
Range 15, which point is 57.13 chains from the
original meander corner of said fractional
sections.
Thence continuing up said River along
the foot of the Texas bluffs as the south bank
through Ranges 15 and 16 to the intersection
of the west boundary line of Ranqe 16 extend
ed to the foot of the Texas bluffs.
Thence north along said boundary line
of Range 16 to mid channel of said River as
the same meanders through the broad stretch
. of sand which in some places extends to and is
bounded by the bluffs on either side and in
other places by the margin of the alluvial
flood plain on either side, and which is cov
ered with water at times of freshets and
entirely devoid of flowing water during the
annual dry season.
and also of all machinery, fixtures, tools, and other prop
erty of whatever kind or character now on said lands and
used in connection with the extraction, storage, transporta
tion, rcCming or disposal of the oil or gas products of said
lands; with full authority and power to take possession
of said lands and properly forthwith, and to take all ap
propriate measures to conserve the oil and gas within
such lands and to control all operations thereon for the
production and disposal of such oil and gas; and
WHEREAS, the undersigned has qualified as such
Receiver by making, executing and filing his duly ap
proved bond rn the penal sum of one hundred thousand
($100,000) dollars, conditioned for the faithful perform
ance of his duties including the disbursement and pay
ment according to the direction of said Supreme Court of
all moneys which may come into his hands in the course
of the Receivership; and
WHEREAS, by the further provision of said orders
of said Supreme Court of the United States,

their respective officers, agents and employees, and all
persons now in possession of any of said lands and or
property, or claiming any right, title or interest therein
arc directed to deliver possession thereof to the under
signed and are enjoined until further orden of said Su
preme Court of the United States froih removing any of
the above described property from said lands, AND arc
also enjoined from conducting any oil or gas mining oper
ations thereon save under the direction and supervision of
the undersigned; and
Arc also enjoined from in any way or manner in
terfering with the possession, control or operations of the
undersigned' as such Receiver,

Now therefore,
THE STATE OF TEXAS,
THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA,
Their respective officers, agents and employees,
and each and every person now in possession of any of
the lands, included within the metes and bounds above set
forth, or any of the machinery, fixtures, tools or other
property above described; and
Each and every person claiming any right, title
or interest therein or to any thereof, and
Each and every person conducting any oil or gas
mining operations on or in connection with any of said
lands or properties
Is hereby notified and each and every one thereof
is to take notice that pursuant to the authority and power
in me vested by said Orders of said Supreme Court of the
United States I, FREDERIC A. DELANO, as RE
CEIVER duly appointed and qualified in said above
identified cause, have and do hereby formally assert the
right of possession to and declare that 1 have entered into
possession of all of the LANDS and or each and every
several parcel thereof lying with in the metes and bounds
above set forth, and I do hereby also assert the right of
possession to and take possession of all machinery, fix
tures, tools and other properly of whatever kind or
character on said lands or any thereof, and in any way
or manner used in connection with the extraction, stor
age, transportation, refining or disposal of the oil or gas
products of any of said lands:
Each and every person now in possession of any of
said lands or any machinery, fixtures, tools or other prop
erly on said lands and used in connection with the ex
traction, storage, transportation, refining or disposal of
the oil or gas products thereof, and each and every person
claiming right, title or interest in any of said lands or in
any of said machinery, fixtures, tools or other property is
hereby notified and required to forthwith file with the
undersigned written notice of his claim or claims in or to
said lands, machinery, fixtures, tools or other properly or
any thereof, giving in each and every instance such de
scriptions of the tract or parcel of land claimed, with ref
erences to surveyor's marks, natiiral monuments or other
' wise, as will enable it to be readily identified, and such
itemized lists of machinery, fixtures, tools and other prop
erty clamed and their location on the lands as will like
wise permit of their ready identification; claimants in
each instance to stale whether they arc in full or partial
possession of the lands, machinery, fixtures, tools or prop
erly claimed, or whether possession is withheld from
them, in either ease stating precisely and plainly the
source and devolution of title upon which their respective
claims are based.
All persons, including corporations, associations,
partnerships, combinations and individuals in possession
of any of said lands or claiming any right, title or inter
est therein, and all persons in possession of any of said
machinery, fixtures, tools or properly or claiming any
right, title or interest therein are required, in addition to
filing the required descriptions and listings thereof, to
formally indicate in writing surrender of possession
thereof, and to likewise agree to abstain until the further
order of the Supreme Court of the United Stales from re
moving any of the hereinbefore described properly from
said lands, and also to abstain from conducting any oil
or gas mining operations thereon except with the permis
sion and license of the Receiver and under his direction
and supervision, and upon such terms and conditions as
f the disposition of output and the proceeds thereof as
lne Receiver may prescribe.
Each and every person who was upon the 1st day
of April, 1920, and or who is now and or who may have
been in the meantime engaged in any operations upon or
in connection with any portion of the aforesaid lands and
properties, or engaged or connected in any manner whatso
ever with the production and disposition of any oil and gas
on or from any of said lands and properties, is hereby re
quired and directed to forthwith deliver over lq the Receiv
er any said oil or gas or any products thereof which may
now be in his possession or under his control and is here
by further required and directed to follow with account
to the Receiver for the gross proceeds of any sale or other
disposition of any of the oil or gas which may have been
taken from said lands and properties since the 1st day of
April, 1920, and to pay over said proceeds to the under
signed, or his duly authorized agent, who will issue proper
receipts therefor.
