The ^'coming event" at the New one scheduled Century Club is the for tomorrow afternoon, when the charming operetta, "Goldenhair and the Three Bears" will be presented, under the personal supervision ot and Music Committees of the club. The program of the operetta will be under the personad supervision of Miss Mary Lawson Leech, who is also responsible for the charming tumes which will be worn. The part of "Goldenhair" will be taken by Miss Ethel Wilson: and the three bears will be "Big Bruin," Miss Emma Lore; "Mammy Muff," Mrs. E. T. Nogendank; "Tiny Cub." Miss Em ma Dolores de Garcia. Others in the cast will be the "Woodland Queen.' Mrs. Leslie Mahony; the "Bard," Miss Madeline Reed; "Will o' the Wisp," Miss Marlon P. C08 Frederick, and the sprites. "Faithful," Mrs. John ,, "Frailty," "Lightfoot," W. Brady; Wiley; Miss Janet Miss Mildred Betts; "Airy," Mrs. Hugh C. Browne. The chorus work, whicN promises to he exceptionally good, will be par ticipated in by twenty young women, the daughters of club members. They are the Misses Emma Negendank, Alice Satterthwaite. Margery Speak man, Corinne Mendenhall. Elizabeth Taylor, Helen Thomson. Louise Stir ling, Mary Purdy, Julea Johnson, Gladys Fenn, vieve France. Mildred Satterthwaite, Marion Betts, Frances Sellers, Juli ette Mace, Edith Betts, Elizabeth Philips, Helen Thomas and Elizabeth Eves. The "Danre of the Fireflies" will be a particularly beautiful feature. Those who will take part are Mrs. Edgar Chandler, Mrs. A, t). Warner. Jr„ Miss Elizabeth Bringhurst, Miss Mar ian James and Miss Elizabeth Phil ips. There will be five scenes repre senting the "Woodlawn Dell," "The Bears' Cottage." Addresses and lectures for the old er members of the club have been the order of the club program this winter, and the little operetta will be a pleasant change. Although it is to be given by the older club hers, the children arc to share in the enjoyment also, and all children of club members will be admitted upon payment of twenty-five each. Smith, charged with ob taining goods by false pretenses was held under $300 bail for the May term of court on two charges by Judge Churchman yesterday while another charge waa dismissed. Wes Icy C. Johnson, a stove dealer of No. 622 King street said Smith, represent ing himself as an employe of Stlrlith Brothers, had secured 1,800 pounds of metal from the Johnson store for which he had failed to make return. A like charge preferred by A. G. B. Anderson was heard again Smith and he was held on this and the first [ charge. John Stlrlith of Stlrlith Brothers ! testified that Smith was not employed by him. Mack, park superintendent, was directed to estimate the amount of funds that the board will require to carry on its work during the year. City Coun ell will make the appropriation next month.
