, Athletic Recreation League, terminated
Its winter season with s banquet in
St Paul's M. E. Church Thursday
. night. More than 75 representatives
from Emanuel, East lake. Union, SL
Paul's, Hillcrest, Cookman and Har
rison street churches, were present.
* The Rev, Raymond W. Cook presided.
The entertainment, which Is the
first of Us kind held in the city in
„ connection with the Community Ser
vie*) recreation program, consisted
also of a discussion of the future
sports in which the churches will
' participate next winter. In the course
of the discussion It was agreed that
churches which have not participateed
In the quoit league the past season
' shall Join it next season.
According to J. C. Berger, director
of physical recreation of the Com
- ntnalty Service, who is formuUtlng
'plans for next season's league, quoit
playing will be discontinued this
summer because of the preference of
* the. players for baseball. Mr. Berger
suggested various other out-or-door
games, but they were rejected by the
- members, who ardently maintain that

of nineteen men. Mackie pitched a
splendid game for Mclntire.
