Smaller shorts, however, have covered and some of the trade are moderately bull as wheat disappears on every break and there is practically no pres sure except from shorts. Strength in foreign markets and the way wheat disappears has made many traders afraid of the bear side as Chicago is the .lowest market in the world. Sentiment In the corn trade is divid ed. Bulls say that so long as receipts continue light there is chance for an Immediate break. It was noticeable yesterday that commission houses ab sorbed offerings. Bears believe prices are high enough but admit that there is no actual pressure of corn and there Is not likely to be while cash prices hold strong and stocks are de creasing, but they are not looking for much of an advance in the immediate future. St. Louis wires Many grasshoppers have made their appearce in Central Missouri and farmers express the fear that great damage will be done to growing crops this summer. Thia is said to be the earliest date grasshop pers have ever been known in such large numbers in Mlssotyl. Minneapolis wheat stocks decreased 70,000 bushels for one day. LIVERPOOL CLOSE.
