LEWISTON, Ida., Feb. 9.-Ira Lam oreaux, a miner, has arrived at Grange ville, Idiiho county, and reports a fabulous strike on his quartz claim, located one and one-half miles from the Elk City mining camp. He sunk six feet when he struck a U'-lnch vein of quartz -that is literally ribbed with gold. In a few minutes he mortered out $150 and then continued extracting ore. He now has one ton of ore on the dump that is estimated to be worth $100,0uo. Mining men who have been to the strike corroborate Lamoreaux's state, ment.
