County Convention.
The call for a Republican County Con
vention, heretofore issued, is hereby
amended to conform to the election pre
cincts recently established by the county
commissioners, as follows:
The Republican County Convention of
Stutsman county is hereby called to meet
at the Court House, in the city of James
town, on Saturday, September 11, A. D.
1886, at 2 o'clock p. m., for the purpose
of electing seven delegates to. represent
the county of Stutsman, in convention to
be held at Yankton, Dakota, on Wednes
day, September 22,1886, called to nomi
nate a candidate for delegate to Congress,
to be voted for on the 21 of November
next, and for the further purpose of
selecting twelve delegates to repre
sent the county of Stutsman in the
Twenty-second Legislative District Con
vention, to be held at Jamestown, Dako
ta, on Wednesday, October 13th, 1886, to
nominate one candidate for member of
he Territorial Council, and two candi
dates for members of the House of Rep
resentatives for the Twenty-second Legis
lative District of the Territory of Dako
ta, also to be voted for on the 2d of No
vember next.
The precincts of Stutsman county will
be entitled to representation in said con
vention, as follows: Jamestown, 1st
ward precinct, 4: 2d ward precinct, 4 3d
ward precinct, 4j 4th precibct, 4 Melvin
1, Ester 1, Buchanan 2, Pingree 2, EI
dridge 3, Spiritwood Lake 2, Mutz 2,
Spintwood S'ation 2, Medina 1, Ed
munds 1, Corinne 1, Tpsilauti 1, Tarbell
1, Sharlow 2, Windsor 1.
The Republican voters of the various
precincts will meet on Saturday, Septem
ber 4th, A. D. 1886, at 8 o'clock p. m., at
the following places respectively, and se

That a meeting of the stockholders,
officers and members of the said Northern
Dakota Elevator company is hereby call
en by the directois of said company, in
accordance with the resolution of said
board of directors, passed August 11th,
1886 said meeting will be held at the
office of W. E. Dodge, secretary of said
company, on Monday, the 13th day ol
September, A D. 1886, at 2 o'clock p.
(or the purpose of increasing the capital
stock of said company from five hundred
shares of one hundred dollars each, or
fifty thousand dollars, one thousand
shares of one hundred dollars each, or

Call for Convention of the 22d
Legislative District,
The District Convention for the 22d
legislative district will be held at James
town, D. T., Tuesday, October 13th, 1886
at 2 o'clock p. m.
The convention will be called to order
by the chairman of this committee, or,
in his absence, by some other person to
be selected by the members of this com
mittee present, for the purpose of placing
in nomination a candidate for the terri
torial council and tw) candidates for the
territorial house of representatives, and
the transaction of such other business as
uaay properly come before said conven
tion.
In said convention, the representatives
shall be one delegate from each organ z
ed county, and additional delegates based
upon the population of said counties, ac
cording to the territorial census of 1885,
at the rate of one delegate to said district
convention for each five hundred in
habitants or major f: action thereof.
Counties organized subsequent to this
call and prior to the convention, shall be
entitled to one delegate each upon pre
sentation of a certificate from the prope
territorial officials of such organization.
The following apportionment is given
to show the numbers of delegates to
which each county is entitled.
