Incorporations.
The articles of incorporation of the
Del Monte Irrigation Company were
tiled yesterday with tbe County Clerk.
It is incorporated for the purpose of
supplying water in the counties of Los
Angeles and San Bernardino to purchas
ers of water rights from the Pomona
Laud and Wafer Company. The princi
pal place of business is Pomona. The
Directors are B. S. Nichols, li. A. Pal
mer, F. L. Palmer, H. E. Stoddard und
P. C. Tenner. The capital stock is
$400,000, divided into 40,000 shares of
910 each, and of that $5000 is already
subscribed.
Tbe Palomares Irrigation Company
waa also incorporated for purposes
exactly similar to those of the prec-ding
company. The Board of Directors is the
same ss that of the Del Monte Irrigation
Company. $3000 of the capital stock of
$200,000, divided into 20,000 shares, has
beeu subscribed. Pomona is the place
of business of the concern.
The Claremont Water Company,
which was also incorporated yesterday,
has the same Board of Directors as the
two preoeding ones, but will supply
water for domestic aud household pur
poses to any such inhabitants of either
county as may contract for it. Pomona
ia also the principal place of business of
the company. The capital stock of $50,
--000 is divided into 500 shares of $100
each, of which $5000 worth bas already
been taken up.

Company has been called by the Directors

of an aged Indian at Ballona, in 1883,.
took place yesterdiv morning before
Justice Taney. Sufficient evidence of
Ibe guilt of tbe defendant was adduced
to convince the Justice that it would be
prop, rto hold him without bail for his
trial before the Superior Court.
Richard Morton, who entered the back
room of the California Bakery not long
since, aud stole a watch ami olher urt
ieha, w.s held to answer in $500 bail. It
will be remembered that Morton built a
lira en the table in the room to give him
• light to see by, and tbe boldness ol
the burglary was extraordinary.
J. Flaherty, who assaulted Officer
Arjnwllo while be was taking him to
