FRIDAY MORiTIffQ, JUNE 7, 1889. MISCELLANEOUS. if. v.. if. o. v.5.0.. Specialist ia all the various diseases of the Head Jhroat and Chest, Including the Eye Ear and Heart, together with DISEASES OK FEMALES, omfa: ■ ■■ the Hollenbeck Block, cor. Spring and Second Ms., Los Angeles, Cal. Oxygen, Compound Oxygen, Nitrous Oxide, and other inhalations, used In all DISEASES OE THE LCNCiS. We have Introduced the COMPOUND OXY GEN TREATMENT with our systems of practtc in the cure of Asthma, Bronchitis, Consumption Dyspepsia, Inscmula, Sore Throat, Catarrh Rheumatism and Nervona Prostration, whil ol ly the most Improved methods are employe in all female complaints. As is well known, oxygen is the life-giving principle In the air we breathe and osone In the air imparts that happy and buoyant feeling after thunderstorms. Persons often require more oxygen than is in the air around them, and cause doors and windows to be opened, tear otf collars, loosen the waist and call for a fan to displace the stifling and bring fresher air or more oxygen. Traveling Is done mainly to resorts where the air contains more oxygen, and mountains are ascended to breathe the ozone, which is light and ascends from the earth. Oxygen and osone are gases, and mnst be stored up and used by Inhaling them. Our apparatus for storing and having these gases, , compounded with other suitable agents, is per , feet; snd, although they are not a cure-all, yet they are undoubtedly the greatest invention made in the last 20 years in any department of . medicine, and the results are truly wonderful. Oxygen acts by purifying the blood, thereby increases the circulation, promotes absorp tion, Improves digestion and assimilation, In creases the capability of the lungs, and acts as a gentle stimulant to the nervous system. The London, England, Laoett, very truthfully ' says: "The Compound Oxygen treatment is the i greatest discovery of the Nineteenth Century." Clergymen, statesmen, lawyers, doctors, and all classes indiscriminately, wherever It is lntro i duced, botn use and recommend it. I Tbe testimonials given below are very fair samples as to the time required for effecting cures in these troublesome diseases: Dr. HVliamn— Dear Sib: I am happy to say that the cure you effected in me for a severe i case of throat dlseaae has proved to be per manent For ever a year I was troubled with post-nasal catarrh and granulated throat dis ease, and had done so much for it that I had but little hopes of ever being cured, when I i first went to you, but you gave me such posi tive assurance that you could cure me that I ' began your treatment, and In four months 1 from that time you discharged me as cured, 1 and I am happy to say the cure was a perman . ent thing in every particular up to the preaen time, which is now over a year. Yours very truly, MRS. LDCY H. TRASK, 809 Sonth Olive street, L >s Angeles, Cal. Dr. M. Hilton H'iffioms-DKAR Sir: 1 have . been contemplating for some time past making a statement of my case and the benefit I have derived from your treatment, remembering l how glad I would have been could I have seeu something of the kiud from a person ia the city, to whom I could have referred, when I first came to Los Angeles from my home in New York State , I had been sutTdrlng fir several years with what various physicians in the East pronounced ' chronic ulcerated laryngitis." I spent con siderable time at the Clifton Sanitarium, and employed the best medical skill I could find, all without any permanent benefit, and as a . last resort our family physician recommended - Loa Angeles. For a time I Improved, and then I began to go backward and all my former symptoms returned. Through a medial friend I was Induced to try your treatment I became very much dis couraged at times, but persevered, as I felt al : mnst desperate and knew of nothing else to > turn to My throat trouble being aggravated i by a serious stomach difficulty, made It very j obEtinate to deal with, but at last, after perse vering for a time with your remedies, I enn i sider I am permanently cured, If this will be of any value to you, you are at perfect liberty to use it: h!so to refer anyone to my mother, my hnsband or myself.
