HILTON WILLIAMS, M. D.. M. 0. P. c. 0., With hts new system of medlcsted inhalations combined with proper constitutional remedies for the liver, stomach, blooJ.etc. Probably no system of prsctlce ever adopted has been so universally successful as that In troduced by Dr. Williams for the core of catarrh, throat diseases, bronchitis, asthma and consumption. OFFICE!: RMUer Building, 8T S. Fort Street* Between first and Second. OZCENA. Ozcetia Is the professional or technloal name given to an advanced form of catarrh, In which: ulceration has eaten through the membrane liulng of the noso to the cartilage of the bone Any case of catarrh may end In oicsna, but It most frequently ooenrs in those who are naturally scrofulous. The discharge takes place through the nostrils or throagh the throat, and Is generally of a yellowish or greenish-yellow color, frequently tinged with blood, and almost always attended with an V S »mell. In the language of Dr. Wood, of Philadelphia, the disease is the most ate and disagreeable which the physician bae to encounter. In bad cases the breath of the patient becomes so revolting ss to Isolate him Irom sooiety, and render him an object of dis gust even to himself. In some eases pieces of bone become separ ated and slough iff, leaving deep, unhealthy ulcers, which secrete a bloody matter, and are extremely difficult to heal. After ozoma bas conttnued for some time tbe sense of smell becomes impaired and oftea lost. Deafness is one of tbe most common conse quences, and results from its extension throne* the eustachian tube to the internal ear Palps In the nead and over the frontal sinuses. Impairing memory, and even insan.ty fre quently springs from its extension to the brain. The greatest danger.howover, because the most common, is that it will extend downward and affect the lungs In most cases of pulmonary disease catarrh Is present to some degree, and In many cases it causes a large shar-of the patient's discomfort. Besides these grave consequences, all of which are liable to spring from scrofulous patarrh or ozcena, tuere are others which if less dangerous, are sufflctently unpleasant. It occasions great unhapplness to thoasande of both sexes by Isolating them and prevent ing their eettlement In life. An offensive run ning at the nose, with foul breath, Is about as great a calamity as can befall young people Every disease of this kind can be cured by our new system of practice. The following are the distinguishing features of our mode of treatment. 1. A single application gives immediate comfort aud relieves at once the most dis tressing and painful symptoms. 2. The hardened secretions are softened and removed causing the greatest amount of relief the sufferer. 3. The ulcerated surface Is deodorized, every unpleasant smell is removed, and the breath is restored to Its natural pnrlty and sweetness 4. The poisonous action of the disease npon the throat is neutralized and arrested and threatened consumption averted, and last of all a complete and radical cure fully established. 5. The applications employed can be made at home with perfect success and without in terference with diet or business. 6. In sll cases of catarrh, where the system sufferß from the deleterious effects of scrofula or other vitiated condition of the blood, local treatment is invariably conjoined with consti tutional remedies. Persons desiring treatment by this system of practice can use the remedies at home as well as at our office, and which will oante no incon venience or hindrance to business whatever. I have seen so many of these cases cured that I do not consider any case hopeless, un less the disease has advanced o the chest and both lungs are seriously involved. The In halations aid us 1b dissolving the mucus and in contracting and healing the cavities, which nothing else can do with the same succesß. The very best of references from those al ready onred. CONSULTATION FEES. Those who desire to consult me lv rigard to their cases had better oall at the offlc. for an examination, but if impossible to visit the office per onally c«n write for Ifst of questions and circular, both of which will be sent free of charge.
