of the public streets and sidewalks of the
city of Los Angeles.
The mayor and council ol the city of Los An
geles do ordain as follows:
Section 1. It Ib hereby declared unlawful for
any person to ride or drive any horse or other
animal, or any wagon, cart, carriage, bicycle,
or other vehicle upon any public sidewalk of
the city of Los Angeles, or to leave or permit
any horse, cart, wagon, carriage, truck or
handcart to stand upon any public sidewalk
of said city, or to allow or permit any horse or
cart, carriage, wagon, truck, handcart or other
vehicle to stand upon any public street of said
city, in such manner as to obstruct the free
use thereof.
Sec. 2. Any person who shall violate any of
the provisions of this ordinance shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon
conviction thereof shall be punished by line
not exceeding $50, or by Imprisonment not. ex
ceedlngSO days, or by both such fine and im
prisonment.
Sec 3. The city clerk shall certify to the pas
sage of this ordinance and shall cause It to be
published once in the Los Angeles Daily
Herald, and thereupon and thereafter it shall
