Cauliflower and Turnips Scarce. Tomatoes In Excellent Receipt Eggs declined lc on the produce exchange yesterday. The latest quotation is 17glSc for California ranch candled stock. A correspond- ing ebon was experienced In other grades. Eggs were weak but it is expected with the lowered quotations that a firmer tone will prevail. Trailing was light, the only feature of the call being the sale of So cases of eggs. Asparagus was weak, the market being overstocked, The first new potatoes from Oregon reavuvu the local market. Jersey Island celery is almost deplete., and Saturday will see It disappear, entirely from the market. The only celery then left to sup ply the trad! will be green tops. Cauliflower and turnips were very scarce. But recent rains will revive turnips and the market will bo replenished In another week. Lettuce and other vegetables were plentiful. Tomatoes were in excellent receipt. Strawberries received a setback by the rains. Only a very limited supply was on hand yes terday. other fruits were quiet.
