SOUTH PASADENA REAL ESTATE
SOUTH PASADENA offers oppor
tunities both to the investor and
to the homeseeker; homes can be
secured here for people in every walk
of life; for the fastidious we have
homesites that are second to none in
the entire San Gabriel valley; sites
that are miniature groves of liveoak,
one of the most beautiful of our na
tive trees, and it would be a very dif
ficult matter to find a handsome site
without this most stately tree.
For the man of moderate income
South Pasadena cannot be excelled for
a home; it is noly twenty-five minutes
from Los Angeles, a city of 300,000 in
habitants, which offers opportunities
to men who are seeking positions in
every branch of business. We have
good schools, good churches, good col
leges and good people to live with;
there are no saloons or other places
where the younger folks might be
kept away from the fireside.
To the man of lesser means there
are opportunities here also to find
small homes at very reasonable terms,
just like paying rent. Employment
can be found for mechanics, teamsters,
etc., both in Pasadena fare is 5 cents

South Pasadena is giving employment mortgages where the demand Is al
to hundreds of men for the construc
tion of our many buildings, which are
growing like mushrooms everywhere;
sections of our beautiful little city that
were orange groves and orchards only
a few years ago are now occupied by
the people who are seeking a qulel
restful place to come to to make their
homes. The scenery here is magni
ficent; with the mountains on three
sides, some of them during the entire
winter months are covered with a
heavy blanket of snow, where comes
our water supply, when the warm
California suns kiss the hillsides and
send the waters flowing down the val
ley to your homes, the finest and pur
est of mountain water.
I will say a word to the investor:
South Pasadena is a city so situated
between two larger cities—Pasadena
on the north, Los Angeles on the south
—that the man or woman who is look
ing for good, safe investments in real
estate, here Is their opportunity to do
so. The city is growing at a much
greater rata than ever before in the
history of its existence. There are
i also opportunities for money to be welj
