All former oretfuniuns are invited to attend the meeting- REALTY MAN NAMED AGENT OF TROUBLE Menry Martens Said to Have Involved Orange County Ranchers in Land Transac tions SANTA ANA, March 12.—Another case was added today to the land swindles alleged to have bean com mitted by Henry Martens. The rase today is that of J, D, w.-ins, another rancher near Anaheim, who was victimised Into giving his ranch as first payment on a Kern county ranch sold him, by Marten « and afterward found to be held by other parties under trust deeds, This is the fourth Oranga county victim to give up nn Anaheim ranch under the lame conditions and with Martens as the agent of their troubles. In each case the Anaheim ranch property, after transfer to Martens wai ai once deeded by .Martens to J. C. Past or .Martha A. Fast *of Hlllsboro, Kaa., and in earn action is brought by the victim to have the deed made to Martens and tin' deed to the Fasts rescinded. Martens is more widely known prob ably in this state by the alleged Beal whereby he located a party at Men nonites from Kansas on land near Baker afield, the Mennonltes trading therefor their good farms in Kansas only to find recently that the titles to the Bakersfleld land were worthless, and that they had to remove from the property, bag and i n^agi-. Mr. Lord further stated that the flrsl he knew that Brill was dissatisfied with the machine was when the latter Bled suit t<> recover what he paid for it. Mr. Lord, whose standing in the auto mobile world is the highest, stated thai to his knowledge Brill had never made any complaint regarding the machine at any time. Naturally he was aston ished and unable to understand the motive in tiling the suit.
