How to Be a Candidate
in this Voting Contest
THERK is no red tape about becoming a candidate In The
Herald's $25,000 Voting Contest. If you are respectable you
are eligible as a candidate, and so long as you conduct your
self in an honest and above-board manner in this Contest
you will be permitted to* remain a candidate. The Contest
Department reserves the right to reject or eject any candidate who
does not meet these simple conditions. If you are not -' r.dy a can
didate, fill out the nomination blank to the left and bring it in to the
Contest Department, or send it in, or phone your name in. It Is beat
to bring it in, meet the Contest Manager and talk this enterprise over
with him. The Contest Department wants everyone to understand this
Contest —to see for themselves how absolutely fair and impartial it is;
to see how businesslike all methods used are; to know, in short, all
about the Contest and thus, being able to show your friends why you
are in and why they should rally to your support. When your nom
ination is received you will be given full information and materials—
which consist merely of a little book which goes into a lady's bag or a
man's pocket easily. In meeting with the Contest Department you
will be shown how to map out a campaign that will make effective
campaigning easy. Outside candidates are being; furnished this in
formation through letters and by Contest Men traveling over the cir
