Every company
had its full com
plement. The offi
cers were at their
best and the men
keen to make a
showing. The
marches by Mr.
Berger and his
boys were inspir
ing. Spectators at Union Square num
bered over a thousand. Soveral times
the boys were cheered. Remarks passtsl
on the battalion were uniformly of a
flattering nature. Marked improve
ment has been made iu the force during
the past few months. All are imbued
with an interest in the regiment. The
effort is to make it an emVient forvo
than can act quickly and that will
net unhesitatingly. The hearts of the
men in tholr work and the best of fool
ing exists between the rank and tllo.
