Twombly, of Newton, Mass., is pre paring a memoir of Dr. John Lord, the historical lecturer and writer, who died recently. He would gladly receive memoranda of fact, letters from Dr. Lord, etc., and in all cases where it is requested would carefully preserve and re turn such material after having copied from it what might suit his pnrpoae.
