The leaders of the rebellion re
ceived the sentence of the Military
Commission this morning at 9 :30.
Major Potter and Major McLeod
appeared at the. Marakars office at
& o'clock, and with Marshal Hitch
cock immediately proceeded to the
prison. ' .
The prisoners heard their sen-

pated the death sentence.
The imprisonment sentences read
at the prison were :

W. H. Rickard, 35 years and
$10,000 fine.

FINE.
given in view of the State's evidence
given. They will be released at
once, Bertelmann being removed as I
soon as his physician deems ad
visable. The other prisoners have
been turned over to the Marshal,
