Peck Remains In San Fran Cisco Will Have Trinity Methodist Church, By the U. S. S. Wheeling the Adver tiser received news which will be of great interest to the members of the congregation of the Methodist Church, as it contains the names of the pastors for Hawaii. The Methodist Conference of Cali fornia has finished its work and de cided upon the pastors for the various REV. HARCOURTW. PECK, Pastor Trinity Church, San Francisco , '."."." churches in California and Hawaii. It will be remembered that when Rev. H. W. Peck left here he expected to be made presiding elder of the district, but his anticipations have not been re alized, for Hawaii is to get along for another period without an elder, and W. W. Case, presiding elder of San Francisco District, will probably have Hawaii under his immediate control. Rev. Peck has been assigned to the Trinity Church, San Francisco, con sidered by the pastors to be a favorite charge. Trinity will find in Mr. Peck an able preacher, and indefatigable work in the church. He was very ener getic during his pastorate here and led the march of Methodism in Hawaii. As an orator he had no superior among the ministers and his sermons were at all times interesting. V Mr. Peck will be succeeded to the pulpit of First Methodist Church of Honolulu by Rev. G. L. Pearson. H Kihara goes to the Japanese Church and G. Hiraga to the Japanese Church at Lahaina. The congregation at Pearl City and Ewa Mill will be pre sided over by Rev. C. E. Winniner. It is expected that the new pastors will arrive here on the Australia. Police Court Notes.
