Regard ing a serious illness and susequent cure she says: ''When we think of the many fellow sufferers we shoiild not hesitate to let them know the means of cure when we have found one. My trouble began four years ago, when I was ill, and had to undergo an oper ation for ulceration. Afterwards, I suppose from the coming change o! life, I became so weak that I could not move more than a few steps without suffering from palpitation cf the heart, and sometimes fainting spells. I was as pa'.e as death, and not able to do my housework. Two doctors attended me, and although they did all in their power for me I felt that I was sinking into my grave. What I underwent can scarcely be described. Finally the doc tor told me that he had done all he could for me, and could hold out no hope of a recovery to health. Then my friends urged me to try Dr. Wil liams' Pink Pills, and while in this desperate condition, I began their use. By the time I had taken six boxes I was wonderfully improved. The faint ing spells had gone and the pains had almost disappeared. I could eat a hearty meal and had increased in weight. By the time I had taken ten boxes I was able to do my own house work, and from that out I have enjoy ed the best of health. I have recom mended Pink Pills to many others, and they say they never used any medi cine that did them so much good. I am not anxious for publicity, but suffering as I did, I am anxious that others shall have the benefit of my experience to help them to a cure." Dr. Williams' Pink Pills are not a patent medicine but are a scientific preparation successfully used in gen eral; practice for many years before being offered to the public generally. They contain in a condensed form all the elements necessary to give new life and richness to the blood, and restore shattered nerves. In the case of men they effect a radical cure in all cases arising from mental worry, over-work or excesses of what ever nature. Sold by all dealers in medicine. Customs Detail. People living along the beach, in the vicinity of Long Branch, are complain ing more and more every day about a nuisance in the shape of a poi shop just above the Waikiki road, on the banks of the stream. The Chinamen are in the habit of throwing the refuse from their shop into :the stream and this is carried down and out where peo ple bathe, thereby polluting the water. Then again, a lot of this refuse collects on the beach, and rotting in the sun, makes it most disagreeable for the residents. That the Chinamen have been and are committing a nuisance daily, is beyond apparently doubt. (Jive Yourself Weight. Don't gie yourself away by accept ing any of the inferior brands of beer.
