A runaway horse struck Miller's candy wagon yesterday and there was sweetness all over the street for half an hour and the young millionaire who owns the fractious horse will settle. P. J. The ralama Co-operative Grocery Store will he ready for business some dav next week. Their stock will be re plenished from time to time by direct importations. The first large order went forward by the S. S. City of Pe king, May 1st. In future, the team of the Honolulu Cricket Club, when playing against men-of-war will be picked from those plavers who turn out the most regu larly to practice. This course will be enforced by the officers of the club in order to put an end to all rivalry and to encourage true sport. Today's Maine" Hall Game. It is expected by all who have taken an interest in the matter that there will be a very large crowd for the ball game at the League grounds in Makiki at 3:30 this afternoon. The receipts will go to the fund for the families of the men lost in the U. S. S. Maine dis aster in Havana harbor. On the dia mond there will meet in competition the nines of the U. S. gunboat Ben nington and of Kamehameha School. The school has a strong team and the naval men have been practicing with the view of making a creditable show ing against the town aggregation.
