Left San Francisco, Dec. 14, at 2 p. m., with 3S cabin and 41 steerage pas sengers and 13S bags mail. Exper ienced light to moderate north and N. E. winds, until December 17th; thence to port light airs, variable indirection and force. Per stmr. Warrimoo, Dec. 21. Left Sydney at 2:17 p. m. December 3rd; experienced tine weather with light N. W. winds for the first 24 hours, fol lowed by strong S to S. E. winds, which were carried to Cape Farewell; thence fine weather to arrival at Wellington, at 12:48 noon, December 7th. Left again at 3:05 p. m. next day; exper ienced Strang E and N. E. winds up the New Zealand coast; thence fine weather and light winds to arrival at Suva at 9:30 a. m. December 13th. Proceeded on voyage at 4:40 p. m. same day; cleared the Fiji group at 5:36 a. m. next morning; met with fine weather to the equator, which was crossed on the evening of the IGth inst. When in lat. S degrees N. en countered strong, squally N. E. trades, which lasted to latitude 15 degrees N; thence fine weather to arrival. Passed R. M. S. Aorangi at 0:25 noon of the 9th inst.. bound for Wellington. WHARF ASiD WAVE. The schooner Transit finished dis charging yesterday. The S. S. Peru is running between Panama and San Francisco. The horse and mule transport ship Tacoma was about ready to sail for Honolulu when the Australia left San Francisco last week. Orders are expected by the City of Peking on Saturday for the Benning ton to sail to Guam for the survey of the harbor there, thence to proceed to other of the new possessions. The liner Australia brought 1,704 ,tons of freight from San Francisco yesterday and was busy discharging until midnight. Today she will con tinue unloading and will take on sugar. The City of Peking will arrive on Saturday morning from San Francisco and the Miowera the following (Sun dav) morning, from Victoria. Both these steamers have been delayed in sailing. The liner Warrimoo docked at the Mail wharf at 1 o'clock yesterday af ternoon from Sydney, and sailed from Victoria at S o'clock last night. She had 140 tons of freight for Honolulu and 1,320 tons for destination. The United States training ship Ad ams, at present anchored off Mare island, is still awaiting the arrival of her batteries from the East. They shouid have been there some- time ago, and are expected any day now. When her guns arrive, the training-ship will start out on a cruise which will occupy ninft months, and during which Hono lulu, Samoa; China and Japan will be visited. Bennington Cruise. V L ill f-y proceedings in the Attorney the Hawaiian the British and her boats, tackle, apparel and furniture, and ten cans containing five hundred (500) tins of opium, a decree condemning and confiscating the said schooner, her boats, tackle, apparel and furniture and the said opium to the use of the Government of the Republic of Ha waii and an order of sale of said schooner, her boats, tackle, apparel and furniture was made by the Hon. W. L. Stanley, Second Judge of the. Circuit Court of the First Circuit. You are hereby commanded in pur suance of said decree to sell the said schooner "Labrador," her boats, tackle, apparel and furniture at public auction, in Honolulu, on Saturday, the 14th day of January A. D. 1S99, and to publish a notice of such sale in the Hawaiian Star and Daily Commercial Advertiser for not less than ten days and pay the proceeds of such sale into this Court, with an account of your charges and expenses.
