corner of Union and Hotel streets last
evening to view the moving pictures.
Honolulu Eye and Ear Infirmary

Ben Bruns, the King of the Kick
apoos, is in town again from Hawaii.
He "has been in Kau district several
weeks.
The bark Xuuanu will leave New
York on or about July 15th for Hono

The Road (Department was busy pay
ing off the men yesterday. About 300
workers were gathered in the grounds
during the afternoon.
Next Wednesday the Kilohana Art
League will have their -receiving day
for the spring exhibition, with the
opening day one week later.
iNo verdict has yet been returned by
the coroner's jury which held the in
quest over the Portuguese who was
killed at the Bishop Museum.
Tomorrow morning Rev. W. M. Kin
caid will preach on "The Church of
Christ." In the evening the subject
will be "Moses, the Prophet of Right
eousness." The Hongkong Maru, advertised to
sail from this port for San Francisco
on May 16th, will not call on this trip.

The Minister of the Interior calls for
sealed tenders for furnishing the Road
Supervisor of Honolulu with supplies
for roads and bridges during the next
